Day 1
Arrival to Los Mochis and Transfer to El Fuerte Colonial Town.

Welcome to sunny and friendly México, upon your arrival at the Los Mochis International Airport, a host of our staff will greet you at the gateway to transfer by courtesy shuttle to Los Mochis (20 min), our gathering point to continue your Journey to the Colonial Town of El Fuerte, founded in 1564. (55 minutes). Famous also for been the legendary birthplace of Señor Diego de la Vega known as Zorro.

Arrival to El Fuerte Town "The Gateway to Copper Canyon" and stay at the Posada del Hidalgo Museum Hotel & Resort first overnight check in.

  Don't miss any of these activities:

Try our Local specialty of the house: Black bass fish fillet and grilled Langoustines -- not included in the package.

Enjoy walking around the lovely plaza, church, and magnificent municipal Palace, reminding you of the old romantic México of the movies.

Day 2
El Fuerte -- Cerocahui (Mision Hotel)

All aboard the Copper Canyon train!! Enjoy American breakfast (around 07:00 a.m.). After Breakfast Transfer to El Fuerte train station (15 min.). Around 8:30 a.m. board the famous Chepe Train heading to Bahuichivo train station; the Copper Canyon train ride is an inspiring journey that took more than 100 years to construct, called by Readers Digest "The Most dramatic train ride in the northern Hemisphere" an engineering marvel (as National Geographic has called it) that will take you from sea level to almost 8,000 feet via 86 tunnels and over 40 bridges in this unspoiled landscape in the 25,000 square mile canyons of the Sierra Madre. The 8 major canyons are collectively known as the Copper Canyon, which is four times the size of the U.S. Grand Canyon combined. The tribe that inhabit the Canyons are called Tarahumara Indians.

One of the major points of interest is Temoris, where you can see three ascending levels of the railroad. Arrival at Bahuichivo train station around 12:20 p.m. were you will be greeted by the Mision Hotel courtesy shuttle that will transfer you to Cerocahui Town (40 min). We check in and get ready for lunch at the main dinning room around 13:30 hrs. Afternoon at your own leisure -- visit "El Tehuecado" or a Tarahumara Indian Girls Boarding School (try this visit in one of your 3 morning opportunities), next to the Hotel Mision and the Jesuit Mission of Cerocahui. Enjoy happy hour at 6:00 p.m., before dinner and try our famous Mision Wine, made with our own vineyards.

Dinner is served around 07:00 p.m. Two nights stay.

  In Cerocahui don't forget to:

Enjoy and relax in the town called by Traveler Magazine, "A renaissance in the Sierra Madre".

Visit the Tehuecado or Tarahumara Girls Boarding School, right next to the hotel, if you brought your donations now is the time to give them!

Sip a glass of Mision wine in the afternoon in one of the hotels patios, overlooking the mountains, the little Napa of the Sierra Madre.

Visit the 300 plus year old Jesuit mission church.
Enjoy a slice of wood oven baked hot Apple Pie, Mama Vilma's recipe.
Take a walking tour or a horse back ride to the waterfall -- not included.
Take an excursion to the Urique Canyon lookout point.
Visit the old town of Urique at the botton of the canyon -- not included.
Day 3 | Mision Hotel

At 7:30 am Enjoy breakfast, at a convenient hour we take our first tour in which you will ride along a road -- by van or bus -- that will take you to 7,500 feet at the Gallego Lookout Point to appreciate the grandeur of the Urique Canyon, the deepest of all canyons.

We go back to hotel to enjoy lunch around 12:30 p.m.

Free afternoon for personal activities at your own leisure, we suggest
an optional walking tour to the Cerocahui waterfall or by horse (tour last 2 hours 30 min), you will follow a trail that will take you inside a canyon full
of beautiful local flora that leads to a magnificent waterfall. Don’t miss
our happy hour
at 6:00 p.m. Enjoy Dinner around 07:00 p.m.

Day 4
Cerocahui /Posada Barrancas train station (Mirador Hotel)

Breakfast serves at 7:30 am. You can take a brief walk on the town surroundings (church and plaza) and at 11:30 a.m. we get ready to go to Bahuichivo Train station (40 min) for the next leg of the journey to Posada Barrancas Mirador Hotel at 12:20 p.m. re-board the Copper Canyon Train this morning for another thrilling train ride with beautiful landscapes, amazing views on the way, have your camera ready. Arrive to Posada Barrancas train station around 2:30 p.m. were you will be transferred to Mirador Hotel (5 min). Check inn.

Afternoon for personal activities: walk around with a guide or by yourself. Be back in time to enjoy our happy hour at 6:00 p.m. -- margaritas & live music. Dinner at main dinning room. Overnight at Mirador Hotel.

Travel tip:
 

Arrival to Mirador Hotel will be around 2:30-3:00 pm. We suggest that you have your lunch aboard the train on your own. Lunch on board the train not included in the package. Your 3 meals at Mirador Hotel start with dinner.

  At Mirador Hotel don't forget to:

Take a trek following a trail to the "Cueva del Chino", Tarahumara indian living cave.

Take an adventure aboard the Hummer, that will take you a Tarahumara Indian village and more incredible look out points for the canyons -- not included in the package.

Visit the town of Creel, Arareko Lake, Mision de San Ignacio, Valley of the Mushrooms (rock formations). Include in the package.
Have fun every afternoon at the live music Mexican fiesta happy hour, the best margaritas 2 x 1!!
Make a wish from your balcony overlooking the canyon at an spectacular morning sunrise .
Take a horse back ride along a trail that will lead you to a scenic lookout point -- not included in the package.
Take a tour to Balancy Rock, 3 canyon's overlooking -- not included.
Day 5 Posada Barrancas | Mirador Hotel

After breakfast, around 09:00 a.m. you will take our tour to the lumber town of Creel, see the plaza and the charm that this community offers; then your guide will take you to visit the Arareko Lake and the mysterious rock formations of the Valley of the Mushrooms, San Ignacio Mission, after this exciting day we head back to the hotel. Lunch at 14:00 p.m. Later at 6:00 p.m. you will have time to continue your "Fiesta" with our happy hour Margaritas & live music. Around 7:00 enjoy dinner at the hotel’s dinning room. Overnight at Mirador Hotel.

Day 6 Mirador Hotel
Board the Copper Canyon train to Los Mochis | Santa Anita Hotel

Breakfast around 07:30 -- Morning for personal activities, we suggest a Hummer adventure tour to see the Tarahumara Indian Village that follows a hidden trail for the most dramatic and inspiring lookout point of the Copper Canyon -- Not included in he package.

Enjoy lunch around 1200 at main dinning room. At 12:45 p.m. transfer to the train station, for your return to Los Mochis on board the Chepe train, one meal is included, so you can have it at your own leisure and time (all before 6.30 p.m.)

Travel Tip: Make your reservation with the dinning car cashier, show him you meal coupon. Arrive to Los Mochis train station around 9:00 p.m. A host of our staff will greet to provide complementary shuttle to Santa Anita Hotel for one night stay.

  In Los Mochis, don't forget to:

Take a city tour, to visit the local Museum and the Centennial Botanical Gardens.

Take a boat cruise tour in the beautiful Topolobampo bay (20 min from Los Mochis) and see how the dolphins get so close to the boat you can almost touch them, also visit Bird's Island, and understand why the Copper Canyon train exists because of the history of this port.

Day 7 end of trip
At the convenient hour (depending on your departure schedule) complementary shuttle to the airport included if needed. End of services.

On the last day of your journey, you will get off at the El Fuerte Train Station, instead of Los Mochis, where we will pick you up to overnight at Posada del Hidalgo Museum Hotel & Resort.

Transfer from El Fuerte Train Station to Hotel Posada del Hidalgo.

Arriving night at Posada del Hidalgo. Next night either at Posada del Hidalgo or in los Mochis at Santa Anita Hotel.
